Mata Hari Pinball Machine *
Classic 70’s Bally pinball at its best!
This is one of the most requested games we’re asked about from the late 70’s. Mata Hari features a symmetric, yet challenging layout with lots of drop targets, pop bumpers and saucer hole to advance your bonus.
Released in 1977, Mata Hari is one of Bally’s first electronic pinball machines when they were transitioning from electro-mechanical machines to solid state electronic machines. With that being said the game functions like an electronic game with digital scoring but still as a chime unit for the sound effects.
This game plays great! Original backglass is in remarkable condition with no lifting, peeling or flaking of any kind. Playfield looks nice with no broken or chipped decorative plastics but does have a couple of small wear spots in the artwork in front of each slingshot. We have touched up with matching red acrylic paint, this doesn’t effect game play…but should be noted to any perspective buyer. Cabinet is original and does show some wear and tear for being a 44 year old machine…or as we like to call it patina, but still presents well.
Since acquiring this game we have thoroughly shopped this game out. All components (posts, plastics, etc) were removed from the top side of the playfield and thoroughly cleaned. The playfield was cleaned and polished and all new rubber rings and bulbs were installed throughout the playfield and backglass area. General Illumination lighting behind the backglass has been upgraded with warm LED’s to help further protect this aging games backglass….all other lighting is still incandescent bulbs to give it that vintage look. New flipper bats installed and all 4 pop bumpers have been rebuilt with new skirts, bodies and new decorative pop bumper caps. Coindoor has been polished to a high shine and new Bally emblem decal installed. Brand new legs installed along with new leg levelers and leg bolts.
Electronically this game has been thoroughly gone through. It has a brand Ultimate MPU board…no more leaky NiCad battery which is typically a failure point on vintage electronic Bally Pinballs. The Ultimate MPU features a non-leaking memory back up capacitor for keeping high scores and the ability for this game to be set to FREE PLAY, unlike the original MPU Board. In addition it has a brand new solenoid driver board and all 5 score displays have been upgraded with new LED Score Displays.
Mata Hari works great and needs nothing! She includes a 30 Day warranty on the electronics. Included with Mata Hari are locks and keys for the coindoor and backglass, original cashbox w/lid (often missing) and all original documentation (owners manual and schematics).
Great opportunity to own this desirable classic 1970’s Pinball Machine.
