King of Diamonds Pinball Machine

King of Diamonds is a classic Gottlieb single player wedgehead pinball that was released in 1967. King of Diamonds is well regarded by pinball enthusiasts due to extremely fun & challenging game play allowing players several ways to win replays.

The theme is poker and the play is pure classic pinball.

This electro-mechanical pin features 2 flippers, 3 pop bumpers,and 5 roto-targets
… all of the things vintage pinballs are known for including backbox animation where each playing card scored on the playfield reveals the corresponding card collected on the backbox.

Beautifully restored by a private collector here in North Texas who specializes in vintage electro-mechanical pinball machines you would be hard pressed to find a much nicer looking example than this one here. This game has had everything redone including the playfield being professionally touched up and protected with automotive clearcoat. New reproduction playfield plastics, lane guides, flipper bats and all pop bumper assemblies rebuilt. The cabinet has been professionally refinished to factory original including the black webbing. Additionally all exterior metal has been polished and buffed to a high shine or replaced. The backglass is original and is the only thing on this machine showing its age or shall we say patina, are two small rub marks the size pencil eraser; one by the score reels and the other in the upper right corner. All lighting has been upgraded to retro warm LED bulbs giving the machine an original look while at the same time drawing less heat & current over conventional incandescent light bulbs.
