In it’s hey day (1980) Defender’s electronics were top of the line. Fast forward 39 years and those electronics have become very unreliable due to their age. It took several large circuit boards within the cabinet to make the game operate (power supply, cpu, sound, i/o board, rom board). So what we have done is upgraded the game with new modern electronics, but still keep the classic feel of the original.
